1. Overview

SnappyTimer ("the App") is developed and maintained by Akdid. We respect your privacy and comply with Google Play policies and applicable data protection laws.

2. Data Collection and Use

SnappyTimer does not directly collect, store, or share user data. No user accounts, sign-ins, or manual data entry are required for App use.

Third-Party Data Collection (Advertising):

The App integrates Google AdMob for advertisements. AdMob, operating under Google's policies, may collect limited technical data (such as device identifiers, approximate location, and ad interactions) for the purpose of serving targeted ads and measuring performance.

3. Permissions

The App requests the following permissions, which are strictly necessary to support its core timer and notification functionality:

Permission Requested Purpose
WAKE_LOCK Keeps the CPU active to ensure timers/alarms fire correctly when the screen is off.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED Allows the App to restart persistent timers and alarms after the device has been rebooted.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM Ensures alarms and timers fire at the precise time the user sets, as required by modern Android versions.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE Allows the App to run a reliable, system-managed process to maintain active timers in the background.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Required to display timer alerts and ongoing status in the notification bar.
VIBRATE Allows the device to vibrate when a timer or alarm completes.
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT, TURN_SCREEN_ON, & SHOW_WHEN_LOCKED Used to display high‑priority timer alerts even when the device is locked or asleep.

4. Data Sharing

SnappyTimer does not sell, rent, or share user data. Only AdMob processes limited technical data for ad purposes, as detailed in Section 2, under Google's policies.

5. Security

All external communications used by the App (via AdMob) utilize secure HTTPS protocols. SnappyTimer itself transmits no personal or sensitive data.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Timer settings and configuration data are stored locally on your device only. You can delete this data entirely by clearing the App's storage cache or by uninstalling the App. No remote copies of this data exist.

7. Children's Privacy

SnappyTimer is not directed to children under the age of 13. AdMob's child-directed settings are configured accordingly to prevent the delivery of personalized advertising to any known children's accounts.

8. Policy Updates

Updates to this policy may occur to comply with evolving Google Play policies or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
